A flammable piece of impregnated material which when pulled apart shows its fibrous nature. Once ignited it burns slowly like a candle, helping to easily start fires. Only a small amount is needed for use in a survival kit and it has the advantage of being more compact then cotton wool alternatives
With practice this can be lit first time every time with a spark from a firesteel. Simply pull apart and fluff up the fibres, as soon as a spark hits off it goes. This really is amazing stuff!
