An emergency fire starter from BCB that works in damp & wet conditions, meaning you can light your fire with damp tinder or even in the rain. There are many different magnesium block strikers on the market but this one is the only version that I have personally found to work.
To use simply scrape or shave the magnesium block to create a small pile of shavings, then place the attached fire steel in the centre and strike downwards to start your fire.
